NASUWT are one if the largest teacher unions in the United Kingdom. We represent and organise members from all areas of the U.K. Support, guidance and advice is offered to all members from across the educational sector.

The NASUWT in South Tyneside has several officers working in our secondary, primary and special schools; we unite to support members in all aspects of their working lives.

If you need advice, or have an issue in your school, please look for the relevant information here. In the unfortunate event that you cannot locate what you need, please use the ‘contact’ button. Remember to leave email and telephone contact details so your query can be dealt with efficiently.

If you are looking for positive, supportive and constructive representation join our local association NOW!

Support and advice should be sought in the first instance through the national Member Support and Advice (MSA) Team which operates between 8am and 6.30pm on weekdays. Tel: 03330 145550. Email: advice @mail.nasuwt.org.uk

Grateful words from North East members

“I waited until I was at my lowest point before I sought help from my union. I was really worried about getting in touch with the NASUWT but from the moment I did I was fully supported without judgement and wish I had rang and asked for help earlier”
